How to enter debug mode

1. Power on the Proton

2. Hold the “spin” and “speed” (first two) buttons down together for ~3 seconds.

3. When a descending light pattern plays on the LED “speedometer” you are in debug mode.

4. You must cycle power or repeat this procedure to exit debug mode and resume normal operation

Things you can do in debug mode

1. Press the “speed” button. Turning the knob will now immediate start the wheels. Be careful!

2. Press the “up/down” button. Turning the knob will immediately move the machine up and down. Be careful!

3. Press the “left/right” button. Turning the knob will immediately move the machine side to side. You know what to do.

4. Press the “play/stop” button. This will start the ball carousel turning, and is probably the most dangerous of the debug choices, as the carousel turns quite forcefully. Use the 3mm hex key to remove the carousel if you need to reach in from the top for any reason.
